Maintenance Technical Advisor
James Logue is our Maintenance Technical Advisor here at The Jet Agent. His role is to ensure that every aircraft that’s bought or sold by our clients meets exacting standards. James conducts thorough due diligence on aircraft being bought or sold. He reviews records, performs onsite inspections, oversees test flights, and ensures the pre-purchase process runs smoothly.
Aviation has always been his passion. Captivated by planes as a kid, James took his first flying lesson in high school and earned his pilot’s license at 18. After earning his FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications, he trained with leading aircraft OEMs such as Bombardier, Embraer and Textron. He also gained years of experience maintaining corporate jets. Eventually, he began managing maintenance for Citation fleets at companies, such as Desert Jet and Latitude 33. He is also certified on Bombardier and Embraer aircraft, including the Challenger 300/350/3500, Global Express, Phenom 100/300 and Legacy 600/650.
James’s drive is rooted in a love for aviation history. “I’m inspired by aviation pioneers,” he says. “Their milestones fuel my dedication to safety and innovation.” His commitment to exceeding expectations has earned him three FAA AMT Gold Awards and a spot on the AMT’s “40 Under 40” from Aircraft Maintenance Technology magazine.
James is a member of the National Business Aviation Association, National Air Transport Association, SoCal Business Aviation Association, Professional Aviation Maintenance Association and the Global Licensed Aircraft Dealer Association. He is also Past President of the American Aviation Historical Society.
When it comes to articulating James’s motivation and drive, no one can say it better than James himself. “My fascination with aviation history fuels my dedication to safety and innovation. Inspired by the industry’s pioneers and the milestones they set, I’m driven to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.”
Right in line with his statement, James is the founder and operator of Logue Aviation based in San Diego offering a wide array of services, including maintenance, inspections and consulting. His all-consuming passion for his work means that his status quo is always to exceed his clients’ expectations, delivering on everything from pre-purchase inspections to personalized maintenance support.
“Whether in the hangar or the boardroom,” he says, “I’m committed to elevating the aviation experience.”
